Almost all metals can be recycled.  Metal items that are not food containers are considered "scrap metal."  Examples of scrap metal include:

  • lawn mowers (fluids drained)
  • snow blowers (fluids drained)
  • metal grills
  • bicycles
  • cast iron sinks/bathtubs
  • metal fencing
  • metal car parts
  • most other metal items
