Be creative and get some inspiration at Dakota Valley Recycling's second Halloween Costume & Prop Swap. Let last year's only-worn-once costume have a second outing in a new home.

Bring your gently used costumes and props to the Eagan Community Center Sunday, October 15 from 2-5pm to swap with fellow community members. Leave what you can and take what you want--everything is FREE! Eligible items must be in good condition. Broken, ripped, or stained items not accepted.

Every year, we cycle through new and old holiday string lights, using what we can and tossing those that just won't turn on. When your lights get old, or you decide to make the switch to energy efficient LED holiday lights, we want to help you be smart about disposing of the string lights that are forever sentenced to your storage unit, or worse, the trash. Instead, recycle your old lights with Dakota County's Holiday Lights Collection!

Residents can drop-off their unwanted light strands at participating locations during the holiday season starting November 20th and running through the end of January. In addition, there are several locations around the Twin Cities metro that serve as year-round drop-off locations, including the Dakota County Recycling Zone in Eagan.
